DAPHNE FERRARO was born 1992 in Copenhagen, but has been living in Munich for over 20 years.

She began studying screenwriting at the University of Television and Film Munich in 2012, where she wrote and directed a series of short films that were nominated, among others, for the Blaue Blume Award. During her studies she worked as a script analyst.

In March 2017 she graduated from HFF Munich with the historical drama “Terra Murata”, which was awarded the FIRST STEPS AWARD 2017 for best screenplay shortly after.

Subsequently she contributed to the Netflix hit DARK, wrote the screenplay for Katja von Garniers feature film FLY and most recently served as headwriter for the adaptation of Mona Kastens bestseller "Save Me" aka "Maxton Hall - the world between us" as a high end series for Prime Video Germany. It became the most watched international original series worldwide on Prime Video ever and earned a BAMBI AWARD for Best Series, as well as two BLUE PANTHER AWARDS - one for Best Headwriting and one for Best Series.

Daphne works with numerous production companies, develops scripts for both feature films and series and acts as a guest lecturer.

Her family is scattered all over Europe – Daphne speaks fluent German, English, Danish and Italian.
