daphne ferraro was born 1992 in Copenhagen, but has been living in Munich for over 20 years.

 

She studied screenwriting at the University of Television and Film Munich. During her studies she worked as a script analyst.

 

In March 2017 she graduated with the historical drama feature script “Terra Murata”, which was awarded the FIRST STEPS AWARD 2017 for best screenplay shortly after.

 

Subsequently she worked on the second season of the Netflix hit show DARK, wrote the screenplay for Katja von Garniers feature film FLY and served as headwriter for "Maxton Hall - the world between us" for Prime Video Germany. It became the most watched international original series worldwide on Prime Video ever and garnered a BAMBI AWARD, two BLUE PANTHER AWARDS and three JUPITER AWARDS for Best Series, Best Actress/Best Actor in a Leading Role.

 

Daphne works with numerous production companies in Europe and the US, develops scripts for both series and feature films and acts as a guest lecturer.

 

Her family is scattered all over Europe – Daphne speaks fluent German, English, Danish and Italian.
